My team and I worked to redesign all of the posters as their parodied counterparts. I designed the opening graphics and then worked with my talented team to make sure that the on-screen motion graphics were in place. Lasers shooting on screens, alien spaceships exploding and crashing, and ton of other cool effects made the visuals "pop". In addition to this key art, tickets, posters, and other promotional material were created to support.
Taking the thing we love and poking a little fun at it - in the right way - can pay homage to that which we respect. Some of the most anticipated films of 2019 were excellent fodder for a great re-imagining. John Wick sought vengeance with a water gun as Jahiem, while things didn't go as you might expect in Animal Cemetery.
Movie posters and their teaser trailers inspired the parodied artwork for each episode of the series. At the time of designing and filming many of the films were not out yet. We had very little to no artwork to pull from - a teaser trailer or coming soon poster, may have been our only elements to cross reference.
