Since 2007, the Digital Design Team has overseen digital creative operations for the BET Hip Hop Awards, one of hip hop's most celebrated annual nights. The work spans website design, digital opens, YouTube templates, video toolkits, social assets, sales assets, red carpet experiential design, international assets, audience development, PR initiatives, editorial assets, and live streaming assets — a full-scale digital production built around the culture of hip hop.
What began as a supporting role on the production grew in scope and responsibility year over year. In 2023, when I took over as head of the Digital Design Team, I assumed end-to-end oversight of the BET Hip Hop Awards digital operations — leading every touchpoint from kickoff through show night.
