We explored the experience from UX and UI through subtle animation, while also identifying opportunities to integrate sponsorship, video, and playlists to increase engagement. As with other executions such as The Art of the Record Deal and Style Icon, these executions lived on BET’s former site and are no longer available for live viewing.

There was an opportunity to provide our music-loving audience with insight into how musicians connect. We built an interactive experience that allowed users to explore these connections in an engaging, hands-on way. The result was a highly interactive experience that captured user interest and deepened engagement with the music community.

USER EXPERIENCE

I worked with my VP and Creative Director to establish a fun, interactive, game-inspired experience, helping to create a UX and UI that felt playful and engaging.

 

This was a refreshing transition from the BET App, Roku, and Amazon user experiences I typically worked on. Although minimal, we were able to break free from constrained UX patterns and build our own with the help of our partners at RED Interactive.

Starting with Tupac, we eventually adapted the experience for several artists and worked with our designers and junior designers to create additional designs.
